Rajasthan Judicial Academy was constituted and established in the name of School of Judicial Administration & Rajasthan Judicial Academy (S.J.A.R.J.A.). Considering suggestions made by the then Vice Chancellor of National Law University, Jodhpur, the then Hon'ble Chief Justice Dr AR. Lakshmanan vide his order dated November 16, 2001, constituted the S.J.A.R.J.A.
Governing Council of the Academy in its meeting held on 24th January, 2007 revised the nature of the Academy and it was decided with the consensus not to carry in future the concept of Joint Venture as the Academy was to function in conformity with the judgment of Hon'ble Supreme Court in All India Judges' Association Case.
The name of the Academy shall henceforth appear as "Rajasthan State Judicial Academy", in conformity with judgment of Hon'ble Supreme Court.
The main aim and object of Rajasthan State Judicial Academy is to undertake continuous Judicial learning in the State which is being achieved by imparting induction training to the newly recruited members of the Judicial Service and Higher Judicial Service in the State of Rajasthan as well as in-service training to the judicial officers of the State, by enriching their knowledge in different fields of law and improve their skills & behaviour. The motto of the Academy is "Achieve Perfection by unattached action".
